A solar LED light attached to a Mason jar lid. I love most things in the Primitive style, and I love using Mason jars for more than just canning, so this idea appealed to me. That is until I got a load of the price tag. At $10 a lid (jar not included), I just could not see my way clear to a purchase, especially since I wanted 3 or more for the front porch.<br />I kept the thing rolling around in my cranium until I could come up with a better, ie. cheaper, idea. A few days later I was in the local big box. In the garden department they were selling LED solar path lights for $2 a piece. B-I-N-G-O. A quick disassemble, and I was in business. A Mason jar light for $2 (jar not included, I already have plenty on hand). I'd like to purchase some Primitive style fabric or ribbon and trim to dress it up, but it works just fine as it is.<br />SO HAPPY! It makes me almost as happy as a lit candle!!!<br />PS- Today was cloudy, not good for solar light charging, so I can't take a clear night time picture.
